Gigantic and colorful hot air balloons from various parts of the world will return to compete for the 37th edition of the Italian International Balloon Grand Prix, flying over the Sagrantino and Tuderte valleys during the event scheduled from July 26 to August 4. An incredible spectacle that will color the Umbrian skies, best experienced with eyes to the sky and heads tilted upwards. During the event, which will see the participation of about 100 crews, challenges and competitions will be organized, culminating in the crowning of the winner of the Italian International Balloon Grand Prix. On the evening of July 28, at 8:30 PM, a spectacular "Night Glow" will be held at the Foligno airport, featuring all the hot air balloon teams participating in the Italian International Balloon Grand Prix 2024. "Night Glow" will attempt to break the Italian record for the most hot air balloons inflated together in a single location in Italy. The balloons will be inflated at sunset and will transform into giant fireflies with the effect of the flames inside the balloons, creating a captivating and unique spectacle never before seen in Italy.
